Action Family Counseling is well known for being the saving grace for families that have been struggling with drug and alcohol addiction for many years. However, Cary Quashen, CEO, is not content with his results and believes that there is more that he can do to make a bigger impact.

“I now want to focus on having a more profound effect on the preventative front and emphasize on building a stronger self esteem for the youth in our community; so that I don’t have to see these kids walk through my door, desperate and hopeless. Actually, I would love to put myself out of business, if you know what I mean?” says Quashen.

Quashen has partnered up with award-winning Family Life Coach Alex Urbina to launch and implement new programs for personal development and offering them free to the community through their non-profit group, Action Family. 

This summer will see the opening of The Action Family Zone, a center for teens and families, in Santa Clarita that is focused on personal development and relationships, with the motto “It Takes a Village” as the foundation. 

“We are excited about this new center because we are committed to helping people get to the next level in all areas of their life. We have some powerful, unique workshops and programs that you will not find anywhere else,“ says Urbina.

The Action Family Zone is a free safe and sober hangout, for like-minded teens that are committed to creating positive changes in their lives.

In addition, The Action Family Zone will be a place for teens to hang out with a variety of activities offered including: music and art studios, pool tables, ping pong, video games, and computer center. With a variety of special events held every month.
